An 11% increase in jobs projected through 2016

On a national level, overall engineering employment is expected to grow by 11% through 2016.

More specifically, the number of biomedical engineering jobs is expected to increase by 21%. The number of chemical engineering jobs is expected to grow by 8%. And employment in electrical engineering is expected to increase by 6%.
