UB Educational Opportunities Center

UB's Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) is committed to providing academic, vocational, and career services to the residents of Western New York. Students enrolling at EOC can select from over 20 programs and services offered days, evenings and some weekends. We also offer specialized learning community programs, like ATTAIN and BRIDGE, to make the learning experience more personalized.

The New York State Center of Excellence in Bioinformatics and Life Sciences

The Center of Excellence's mission is to improve the health and well-being of the population through the development of new products and services in life sciences, including diagnostic tools, new drug therapies, medical devices, information management tools, and new approaches to research and development. The Center's mission also includes all the business activities needed to take these research inventions from the lab to the market in a way that grows the economy - and new jobs - in our region.

Genesee County Economic Development Center

GCEDC, previously known as GCIDA, is legally classified as an Industrial Development Agency (IDA) representing the economic development interests of Genesee County. Formed in 1970, the GCEDC is a Public Benefit Corporation established under New York's General Municipal Law. GCEDC is a separate, autonomous organization not part of the Genesee County Government. Our board consists of seven local experienced business persons who volunteer their services for the economic benefit of our community.
